Ship Painting Mobile Robot
The ‘Ship Painting Mobile Robot’ is an advanced system developed for automatically painting the exterior hull of a vessel. This robot is equipped with a non-contact mechanism that maintains a consistent distance between the painting unit and the surface, enabling automated painting operations with precision.
The hydraulic mobile platform utilizes a 4-Wheel Independent Steering System, allowing all 4-wheels to steer independently. This enables the robot to freely adjust its movements along complex ship surfaces, avoid obstacles, and navigate the optimal path to its destination. Additionally, the platform supports 4 driving modes, providing adaptability to various conditions for selecting the most efficient travel route. Please refer to our standard hydraulic mobile platform for further details. The manipulator consists of 2 hydraulically driven linear actuators and 2 hydraulically driven rotary actuators, which control the Y and Z axes, as well as Yaw and Pitch. This configuration ensures that the spray tool maintains the correct position and orientation, allowing for precise operation.
This Ship Painting Mobile Robot System’ was jointly developed and patented with Korea's leading Shipbuilding Company “D”, ensuring precise and efficient painting operations even in complex environments. By implementing an automated painting process, the system maximizes quality and efficiency, introducing a breakthrough in industrial painting. It plays a key role in enhancing workplace safety and productivity within the industry.
