KNR Systems provides hydraulic robotic arms, standard mobile robots (robot arm platforms), hydraulic components, and robotic solutions based on its unrivaled hydraulic robot technology.

Subsea Manipulator Arm

The underwater manipulator is a remotely controlled hydraulic robotic arm designed for operation in underwater environments. It is developed for tasks requiring waterproof functionality, such as disaster response, hazard mitigation, and offshore plant construction in dangerous areas. This system features a multi-degree-of-freedom joint structure, allowing for efficient workspace utilization and enabling fast and precise execution of complex tasks. With its high environmental resistance, it is well-suited for heavy-load operations in harsh conditions.

This manipulator is designed for integration with an ROV(Remotely Operated Vehicle) and consists of 2 robotic arms: a 6 degree-of-freedom(DOF) arm equipped with various tools to perform specific tasks, and a pair of 4-DOF arms dedicated to securing the ROV's position by grasping structures. The flagship model, Hydra-UW3, features a 6-DOF robotic arm with an additional 1-DOF gripper, providing a total of 7 degrees of freedom. It is engineered for operations in both seawater and freshwater, capable of working at depths of up to 2,800 meters. When fully extended, the robotic arm has a lifting force of 120 kgf, with a maximum lifting capacity of 300 kgf. The arm's maximum length is 2,170 mm, and its weight is approximately 130 kg.

This manipulator features controller performance that surpasses top industry standards worldwide, enabling force control-a capability not found in conventional models. With high precision (over 19-bit resolution) and fast inverse kinematics computation (1kHz), it delivers exceptionally refined and accurate operations. Additionally, dual pressure sensors are applied to each axis to support force control and compliance control, ensuring stable and efficient operation across various environments. Thanks to these advanced capabilities, the manipulator provides an effective solution for complex underwater applications, such as marine operations.
