Linear Hydraulic Actuator
The linear hydraulic actuator is designed to be compact and high-powered, making it suitable for integration into hydraulic robotic systems. Depending on the model, it has been engineered for easy application across various user-specific needs. Linear actuators are primarily used to generate linear motion; however, by incorporating additional linkage mechanisms, they can also be utilized to produce rotary motion.
The linear hydraulic actuator can be applied to the linear motion parts of a robot or configured to generate rotational motion at joints using a linkage mechanism.
Compared to vane-type rotary actuators, it offers the advantage of enabling a narrower and more compact linkage design.
The actuator’s standard output ranges from 5 to 20 kN(1,122 to 4,489 lbf) at 210 bar (3,045 psi), and it is also available in customized capacities and configurations to meet specific application requirements.
Compared to rotary hydraulic actuators, linear actuators can be designed lighter and more compact, although torque varies depending on the rotational position, requiring careful consideration in system layout.
When combined with servo valves, displacement sensors, pressure sensors, and load sensors, they offer excellent feedback control performance.
Depending on the operating range and control objectives, they are available in single-rod and double-rod types.
The linear actuator line includes two specific models: the LS series and the LC series.
While the LC series is heavier than the LS series for the same capacity, it is offered at a more economical price.
