Hydraulic Robotic Arm
The multi-jointed hydraulic robotic arm boasts exceptional capability to manipulate heavy loads relative to its own weight, making it highly valuable in industries that require high-load operations. However, due to the inherent complexity of hydraulic systems, achieving a compact design and precise control remains a critical technological challenge—and a key area where our expertise stands out.
To address these challenges, we have developed a novel design that integrates hydraulic lines within the internal structure of the robotic arm. By eliminating externally exposed hydraulic conduits, we have created an innovative arm that is easier to assemble and maintain. This structural advancement also enhances the implementation of high-precision control technologies, such as friction compensation, compliant motion control, and vibration suppression algorithms utilizing pressure feedback from each axis.
Our robotic arm is engineered with an environmental protection design that ensures resistance to water, pressure, high temperatures, dust, vacuum, and radiation. This robust design enables the arm to operate reliably over extended periods in extreme and hazardous environments. By maximizing both safety and performance across a wide range of industrial applications, this innovation empowers efficient operations while safeguarding human workers in high-risk settings.
[HydRA-UW3]
The HydRA-UW3 series is a high-performance robotic arm designed for operations requiring water and dust resistance in challenging environments. Engineered specifically for underwater and high-pressure applications, it is capable of handling various tasks such as deep-sea cable installation and cutting operations. Its robust structure also makes it a versatile standard model for efficiently managing heavy loads in heavy industries and other demanding fields.
Designed for remote operations, the HydRA-UW3 functions as a manipulator equipped with a 6+1 degrees-of-freedom(DOF) joint structure, including an end-effector. This configuration enables precise path-based positioning within its operational range and is controlled by a real-time multi-axis synchronization controller(LCU). The controller delivers high-precision performance based on kinematic and inverse kinematic algorithms. Depending on configuration, the HydRA-UW3 can be equipped with a water- and pressure-resistant structure capable of operating at depths of up to 2,800 meters, and is also available in high-temperature, dustproof, and explosion-proof variants. The robotic arm features a 6 degrees-of-freedom(DOF) structure composed of in-house developed linear and rotary hydraulic actuators, with an optional 1 degree-of-freedom(DOF) end-effector configurable for specific applications. It supports a maximum payload of 120 kgf and is equipped with 19-bit absolute encoders on each axis for high-precision control. Its operating range includes 120° Azimuth, 110° Shoulder Pitch, 134° Elbow Pitch, 180° Wrist Pitch, 180° Wrist Yaw, and 180° Wrist Roll, enabling a wide array of precise and complex motions.
These powerful capabilities and design features make the HydRA-UW3 an indispensable tool for underwater operations, delivering reliable and efficient performance even under the most extreme conditions found across diverse industrial environments.
Our company has developed a wide range of custom hydraulic robot arms, and we've also introduced standardized models designed for enhanced reliability and cost-efficiency. The HydRA-UW3, capable of lifting up to 120 kg (with a payload capacity of 250 kg) at its maximum arm length, stands out as a representative example of our standard robot arm series.
The newly launched HydRA-TG is an innovative hydraulic motor-powered robot, engineered to efficiently handle heavy loads in hazardous and extreme environments. With an impressive payload capacity of 400 kg, it can safely lift over 200 kg even at full reach, ensuring reliable performance under demanding conditions. Equipped with a 6+1 degrees-of-freedom joint structure, including the end-effector, the robot offers exceptionally precise and flexible movements. With a working radius of 2,500 mm (excluding tools), it can be deployed across a wide range of operational environments, delivering outstanding performance especially in hazardous areas where human access is limited.
