High-Precision Satellite Thruster Valve

The bipropellant thruster valve for satellites is a key technology essential for orbit adjustment and attitude control. This valve plays a critical role in generating high-efficiency and highly reliable thrust by precisely regulating two distinct propellants—fuel and oxidizer. Each propellant is stored separately and, when needed, injected into the combustion chamber, where they mix and ignite, producing significant thrust.

For precise propellant injection, a high-accuracy valve control and pump system is required. These systems regulate the fuel and oxidizer in optimal ratios, ensuring stable combustion and continuous propulsion. At the same time, the thruster operates under a high-precision control system, designed to accurately adjust the satellite’s orbit and attitude. This control system is integrated with various satellite sensors, enabling real-time command adjustments through a feedback loop.

The primary goal of developing a bipropellant thruster valve is to achieve high propulsion efficiency and minimize fuel consumption, enabling precise satellite orbit control. The use of high-efficiency valves extends satellite lifespan and enhances mission continuity. This technology is particularly critical for communication, observation, and military satellites, where accurate orbit adjustments are essential for operational success.

Since 2022, our company has been developing a thruster valve for aerospace applications under commission from the KRRI(Korea Aerospace Research Institute) to meet these demanding requirements. Leveraging our servo valve development expertise, we are dedicated to achieving the high performance and reliability required by satellites in the aerospace industry.
