Continuous Casting Nozzle Changing Robot

The "Continuous Casting Nozzle Changing Robot" is designed to securely grip high-temperature nozzles and maintain stability even in environments where heavy molten steel is being poured. By automating the nozzle replacement process, it plays a crucial role in improving production efficiency and reducing labor requirements.

The high-temperature and high-dust-resistant robotic arm consists of 4 degrees of freedom(DOF) and 1 gripping degree of freedom(DOF). It is designed to maintain a force of over 350 kgf, implementing hydraulic force control to prevent molten steel leakage at the nozzle joint. This ensures a safe working environment, and unlike conventional manually operated manipulators, it is developed to connect to automated equipment, enabling unmanned operation.

The hydraulic robot is a suitable solution for handling high temperatures and immense forces, expected to efficiently perform nozzle replacement tasks in the continuous casting process. This automation system enhances both productivity and safety, making it highly valuable in industrial manufacturing environments.
